Dr. Kanesha Waites

Dr. Kanesha Waites is an experienced professional in education and community relations, currently serving as the Director of Community Relations at Lamar Consolidated Independent School District since June 2022. Prior to this role, Kanesha held multiple positions within Lancaster Independent School District from November 2008 to July 2022, including Director of Family Engagement and Behavior Support, Foster Care Liaison, and District Behavior Specialist. In addition to their educational career, Kanesha co-founded StyledByDraped.com, where Dr. Kanesha served as CEO of DRAPED Boutique, emphasizing luxury and confidence in women's fashion from July 2016 to July 2022. Educational achievements include a Doctor of Psychology degree from Argosy University Dallas, a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from Prairie View A&M University, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology with a minor in Computer Engineering Technology from the same institution. Kanesha completed high school at Temple High School, earning a diploma in 1999.
