Shiva Peters

Shiva Peters is a skilled finance professional with extensive experience in accounting and compliance. Currently serving as a General Ledger Accountant at Lancaster ISD since October 2022, Shiva previously held the position of Senior Grants Compliance Specialist at the City of Dallas. From July 2009 to February 2022, Shiva worked at Dallas Independent School District, progressing through roles as Compliance Specialist/Investigator, Internal Auditor, Accountant III, and Grant Accountant, where responsibilities included reconciling Activity Fund reports and ensuring grant compliance. Prior to this, Shiva coordinated activities for the City of Dallas from February 1998 to July 2009. Shiva holds both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
