Kari Lappalainen

Kari Lappalainen is a seasoned software professional with extensive experience in embedded software design, implementation, and testing across various platforms. Since February 2016, Kari has served as a Senior Software Designer at Landis+Gyr, specializing in telco cloud-related software and a wide range of technologies including FPGA, OpenStack, and embedded Linux. Prior to this role, Kari held multiple positions at Tieto from April 2005 to February 2016, demonstrating expertise as a Lead Software Developer, Senior Software Engineer, and Software Engineer, focusing on similar embedded systems. Early career experience includes a Software Developer role at ABB and a Thesis Worker position, with a strong educational background comprising a Master’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Jyväskylä and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Electronics and Software Engineering from Vaasa Polytechnic.
