David Pereira

David Pereira has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. David started their career in 1988 as a Chemist/Manager at Baxter Healthcare. From 2000 to 2006, they worked as a Director at Cardinal Health and a Director of Synthesis at Magellan Laboratories. From 2006 to 2018, they served as Executive Vice President CMC at Cempra Pharma, where they were responsible for drug substance and drug product development programs for two antibiotics. From 2018 to 2020, they were Vice President Manufacturing and Product Development at Ponce De Leon Pharmaceuticals. In 2020, they became Head of Chemistry, Discovery and Development at AimMax Therapeutics, Inc. Currently, they are Senior Director CMC at Landos Biopharma, Inc.

David Pereira obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University between 1981 and 1985. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry from Virginia Tech between 1977 and 1981.
