Hrafn Áki Hrafnsson has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Hrafn Áki started their career as a Graphic Designer at ÍTR in 1994, where they also worked as an Art Director and Designer for the Summer theatre. Hrafn Áki then joined Gott Folk Advertising Agency in 1995 as a Student/Designer.

In 1996, Hrafn Áki Hrafnsson moved to Degasoft, where they worked as an Art Director and Designer, developing touch screen applications for various clients, including GM, Ford, and Disney. Hrafn Áki also gained expertise in HTML and was well-positioned for the emerging internet boom.

In 2000, Hrafn Áki Hrafnsson founded their own company, Eskill, which quickly became one of the most acclaimed web design/IT companies in Iceland. Eskill received numerous awards and recognition for its work.

In 2005, Hrafn Áki Hrafnsson joined Landsbankinn as the Head of Design, overseeing the look and feel of the bank's domestic and international operations. Hrafn Áki collaborated with marketing departments, advertising agencies, and internal web departments.

Hrafn Áki Hrafnsson then served as the Creative Director and Art Director at Landsbanki in 2007, before transitioning to the same role at Landsbankinn (NBI hf) in 2009. At Landsbankinn, they played a crucial role in the creative and artistic direction of the organization.

In 2009, Hrafn Áki Hrafnsson co-founded Dexoris, where they worked as a Game Designer and Art Director. Hrafn Áki successfully developed and designed the hit musical discovery game Audio Puzzle and the sheep herding game about Peter und Vlad, both available on the iTunes App Store.

Throughout their career, Hrafn Áki Hrafnsson has demonstrated their skills and passion for creativity, design, and art direction in various roles and industries.

Hrafn Áki Hrafnsson has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Graphic Design from Listaháskóli Íslands, which they obtained from 1991 to 1996. In 2010, they completed a course in Introduction to 3D with Maya at Gnomon School of Visual Arts, achieving a perfect score of 100/100. Hrafnsson pursued further education in digital art and sculpture. In 2013, they completed several workshops in character art, environmental 3D for games and movies, and illustration in ZBrush with various instructors from ZBrushWorkshops.com. Additionally, in 2014, they participated in a course on stylized character design with Michael Defeo, focusing on 3D sculpture.
