Kelly Bordato

Kelly Bordato (Abeling) has a diverse work experience background. Kelly started their career in the events and public relations industry, working as an Events/Public Relations Assistant at McFarlane Promotions in 2014. Kelly then moved on to become an Event Coordinator at the SDSU School of Art and Design later that same year. In 2015, they joined the Maritz Travel Company as a Meeting Event Coordinator, and eventually worked their way up to the role of Meeting Event Manager.

In 2018, Kelly joined Landsea Homes, where they began their marketing career as a Sales and Marketing Coordinator. Kelly quickly progressed to the role of Assistant Marketing Manager before being promoted to Corporate Marketing Manager in 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Corporate Marketing at Landsea Homes, a role they have held since March 2023.

In addition to their professional experience, Kelly has also volunteered for the San Diego Balboa Park Centennial and worked as a server at The Westin San Diego Gaslamp.

Kelly Bordato (Abeling) attended San Diego State University from 2013 to 2014, where they studied Hospitality and Tourism Management with a focus on Meeting and Event Planning. Prior to that, they attended UC Santa Barbara from 2009 to 2012, although their degree and field of study were not specified. Additionally, they obtained a Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate (HMCC) from Meeting Professionals International in August 2017.
