Mark Young has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and industries. Mark started their career in 1997 as an Engineer for Intranet Partners, where they gained valuable web engineering skills. Mark then joined Sun Microsystems as a Staff Engineer, working on important projects related to Solaris Software. In 2005, Mark founded their own company called HipLogic, where they served as both Founder and CTO, focusing on developing a multi-tasking application platform for mobile devices. In 2011, their startup was acquired by Zynga, and Mark worked as the CTO of Mobile Technology, helping Zynga expand into the mobile market. Mark later joined Yahoo as the Director of Mobile Product Excellence, and then moved on to The Climate Corporation, where they held the positions of Chief Technology Officer and Head of Product. At The Climate Corporation, they played a crucial role in defining the digital agriculture industry, building a recognized brand, and developing innovative products using artificial intelligence and big data principles. Currently, Mark is the Chief Operating Officer at LandTrust, where they lead technology, product, and operations, leveraging their extensive experience as a technologist to conserve wildlife and regenerate natural landscapes.
Mark Young attended Pennsville Memorial High School from 1989 to 1992, where they obtained a diploma with honors. Subsequently, they pursued higher education at Purdue University from 1992 to 1997, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
