Alphonso F. has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. ALPHONSO most recently served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Langley Federal Credit Union, starting in January 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Chief Administrative Officer at the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority from March 2019 to January 2022, where they provided leadership in procurement, human resources, and financial management services.

From 2014 to 2018, Alphonso worked at the Farm Credit Administration, first as a Director responsible for delivering administrative services to the agency, and then as an Associate Director managing financial and policy analysts. In 2007, they became the Franchise Owner of a Great Clips salon in Ashburn, VA, successfully turning around its operating performance.

Before that, Alphonso worked as a Financial Analyst at the U.S. Small Business Administration, managing a portfolio of Small Business Investment Companies. ALPHONSO also held the role of Director/Vice President-Consulting at BIA Capital Strategies, LLC, overseeing financial valuations and business plans for small business telecommunications companies.

Earlier in their career, Alphonso served as a Deputy Division Chief/Supervisory Financial Analyst at the Federal Communications Commission, managing the agency's auction installment loan portfolio. ALPHONSO also worked as a Vice President at SunTrust, managing a middle market portfolio, and as an Assistant Vice President at Bank of America, managing a portfolio in the communications industry.

Throughout their career, Alphonso has demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, and expertise in various areas such as human resources, finance, operations, and business planning.

ALPHONSO F. has a diverse education history. ALPHONSO obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from William & Mary in 2001. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's of Science degree in Finance, General at Virginia Tech - Pamplin College of Business from 1984 to 1988.

In terms of certifications, ALPHONSO F. completed a Certificate Program in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Cornell University in 2021. In 2015, they earned a Certificate in the Management of Strategic Regulatory and Enforcement Agencies from the Harvard Kennedy School.
