Mathias Rantanen

Mathias Rantanen is an experienced project manager currently working at Lantmäteriet since October 2020, focusing on international services such as establishing Smart Spatial Data Infrastructure and implementing the "ePlan for eSpace" concept in collaboration with the Republic Geodetic Authority of Serbia. Rantanen has held various positions in municipal governments, including samhällsbyggnadschef at Upplands-Bro Kommun and avdelningschef lantmäteri at Haninge Kommun, contributing to significant geodata projects and planning initiatives. Additionally, Rantanen has a solid background in GIS and land surveying, having worked in multiple roles that span over two decades, including positions in consulting and project management at companies like WSP International AB and Lerums Kommun. Rantanen holds an MSC in Lantmäteri from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, obtained between 1987 and 1991.
