Ali Charchi Aghdam

Senior Process Simulation Engineer at LanzaTech

Ali Charchi Aghdam is a Senior Process Simulation Engineer at LanzaTech since September 2021, focusing on building simulation tools for carbon recycling. Previously, as a Research Intern/Computational Scientist at Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories, Ali worked on CFD simulations and developed a Python framework for OpenFOAM automation. A background in research was established at the University of South Carolina, where Ali held roles as Research Specialist and Graduate Research Assistant, contributing to various computational models and simulations, including plasma discharge and combustion analysis. Earlier experiences include teaching at Sahand University of Technology and undertaking research roles in process engineering and development, notably at Daana Pharma Co. Ali holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and two degrees in Chemical Engineering from Sahand University of Technology.
