Edem Dzakpasu is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in commercial strategy and project development within the energy sector. Currently serving as Sr. Commercial Director for Growth & Strategic Projects at LanzaTech since June 2023, Edem previously held the role of Sr. Director, Strategy & Chief of Staff for Global Power Generation at Cummins Inc. from May 2022 to June 2023. Edem's career at Chevron spanned nearly nine years, culminating in the position of Investment Principal at the Future Energy Fund, focusing on venture capital investments in early-stage technologies that support energy transition. Edem's expertise encompasses deal origination, execution, and portfolio management in areas such as macro decarbonization and energy decentralization, as well as business development across various segments of the energy value chain. Edem's educational background includes an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and advanced degrees in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
