Alexander Lau

Alexander Lau is a highly experienced electrical engineer with a career spanning over 18 years, specializing in projects across food and beverage, mining, smelting, and transmission and distribution sectors. Currently serving as Lead Electrical Engineer at LAPORTE since December 2016, Alexander has successfully managed load expansion studies, service capacity upgrades, and power system studies for various clients, including Champion Petfoods and NAPCO. Previous positions include Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer at CWA Engineers Inc., where projects focused on energy efficiency and equipment design in mining, and Electrical Engineer at Amec Foster Wheeler, contributing to significant projects like the Big Bend Substation and various potash operations. Alexander holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of British Columbia.
