Geoffrey Abbott has a diverse work experience in the field of chemistry and materials science. Geoffrey started their career in 2009 as a Department of Chemistry Graduate Student at the University of Montana, where they obtained a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry. Their research focused on the development and study of surface-bound ruthenium organometallic complexes.
After completing their doctoral studies, Geoffrey joined the Finally Light Bulb Company in 2014 as a Materials Scientist. Geoffrey worked on the development and testing of materials for light bulb production.
In 2015, Geoffrey joined Prysm Inc. as a Chemist and later progressed to the role of Senior Chemist. In 2017, they were promoted to Principal Chemist, responsible for designing and maintaining material chemistry for the production of Large Format LPD Screens. Geoffrey also oversaw the design and automation of production processes involving the developed materials.
Currently, Geoffrey is employed at LASE Innovation Inc. as a Senior Chemical Engineer. Geoffrey has recently been promoted to the position of Director of Chemical Engineering.
Throughout their career, Geoffrey has demonstrated a strong expertise in chemical engineering and materials science, with a focus on developing and maintaining innovative technologies and processes.
Geoffrey Abbott's education history begins in 2005 when they attended West Virginia University. Geoffrey completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Forensic Science and Chemistry in 2009. Following this, they pursued higher education at the University of Montana, commencing in 2009 and finishing in 2014. There, they achieved a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Inorganic Chemistry.
