Ian Swanwick

Ian Swanwick has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Ian started their career as the owner of Slipped Disk (SDI) Inc from 1985 to 2002. Later on, they worked at BlueWater Technologies in various roles such as Account Executive, Operations Manager, and Pre-Sales Operations / Estimator from 2004 to 2012.

In 2013, Ian joined AVI-SPL and held the position of Project Manager / Global Account Operations. Ian played a crucial role in developing operational process improvements and became a Smartsheet evangelist, working on developing workflows and supporting continuous improvement within the enterprise. Ian also developed internal analytics, dashboards, and project tracking workflows by integrating and consolidating data from disparate internal systems. Ian worked at AVI-SPL until 2020.

After leaving AVI-SPL, Ian joined AVI-SPL, Inc as a Business Process Architect in 2020. In this role, they worked as part of a team that developed an enterprise project tracking platform for the Global Accounts PMO. Ian also supported various internal teams in developing improved project tracking visualization and metrics. Ian remained with the company until early 2021.

Currently, Ian Swanwick holds the position of Smartsheet System Developer at Lasko Products, starting in April 2021.

Ian Swanwick attended Newcastle University from 1975 to 1978, where they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Zoology/Animal Biology. In addition, they obtained the Smartsheet Product Certified User certification from Smartsheet in January 2021.
