Barbara Willett has extensive work experience in monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning. Barbara is currently the Managing Director of Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning at Last Mile Health. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal at Clear Outcomes and as a Consultant in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning while being self-employed.
Barbara has also held leadership positions in various organizations, such as the Director of Investment Evaluation at the Digital Impact Alliance (DIAL) at the United Nations Foundation, and the Director of MEL - International Services Division at the American Red Cross. Barbara also served as the Director of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning at Mercy Corps, where they built M&E capacity across the agency and developed a digital platform for measurement practice improvement.
Barbara's previous experiences include roles at Mercy Corps - Pakistan, the Howard Phillips Center for Children and Families, PCL Construction Inc., and Catholic Relief Services. Barbara has a background in project management, grant writing, and evaluation in various sectors.
Barbara Willett has a diverse education history spanning several institutions and fields of study. Barbara completed their doctoral studies (ABD) in Education - Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Central Florida from 1998 to 2005. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Development Studies (International) from Ohio University in 2004-2005. Barbara also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from United States International University, which they earned from 1987 to 1990. In addition to their formal education, Barbara has acquired several certifications in various subjects, such as Analyzing Data with Excel and SharePoint, through platforms like edX and LinkedIn.
