Delia Burnett

Delia Burnett has a diverse work experience in the field of public health and nonprofit organizations. Delia has held various roles and responsibilities in different organizations.

Delia began their career as a Communications Associate at AmeriCorps/NYC Civic Corps/New York Legal Assistance Group, where they wrote and edited content and supported programs addressing legal issues for low-income individuals with health problems.

Delia then joined the Worldwide Orphans Foundation as a Program Manager, leading a study on oral health for a pediatric HIV+ population.

Delia subsequently worked at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Brooklyn District Public Health Office, as part of the Healthy Schools Program.

Delia later joined the Human Rights Program at the Global Health Center, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, as a Program Manager, conducting interviews and providing care for refugee asylum seekers and torture survivors.

Delia also worked as an Assistant Course Director/Teaching Assistant for the Masters in Public Health Program at Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

Delia then joined the Mount Sinai Health System and held roles as a Research and Evaluation Coordinator and Coordinator of the Accountable Care Organization, where they developed care strategies, policies, and budgets.

Delia then joined Last Mile Health as a Development Officer and later became the Manager of Individual Giving, overseeing a major giving program and contributing to a development goal of $30 million.

Delia subsequently worked at UNICEF USA as a Major Gifts Officer before returning to Last Mile Health as the Director of Partnerships and eventually the Senior Director of Partnerships.

In 2018, Delia joined mothers2mothers as the Deputy Director of Development, Acting Director of North America, and eventually as the Director of Partnerships, leading efforts to end pediatric AIDS through scalable interventions.

Delia Burnett earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Art History from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2008. Afterwards, they pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a specialization in Global Health at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, they obtained a University of Colorado Business Intensive Certificate in 2008.
