Sammy Omari

Sammy O. is an experienced leader in autonomous systems and robotics, currently serving as Head of ADAS at Ford Motor Company since July 2022, overseeing global development and validation for Ford and Lincoln vehicles. Additionally, Sammy O. holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at Latitude AI, having previously been the VP of Engineering, Head of Autonomy, Systems and Mapping at Motional from December 2020 to July 2022. Prior roles include Head of Motion Planning at Lyft Level 5, and Director of Engineering at GoPro, where Sammy O. directed efforts in robotics, computer vision, and machine learning. Sammy O. was also Head of R&D and CTO at Skybotix AG before its acquisition by GoPro. Sammy O. earned a PhD and MSc in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Robotics from ETH Zürich and completed undergraduate studies at The Australian National University.
