Mark J Lesky has a long history of professional experience in the resource development and manufacturing industries. Mark J began their career in 1973 as a Petroleum Geologist with Shell Canada Resources, exploring for natural gas in western Canada. Mark J was a team member on several major natural gas discoveries in the foothills of Alberta. In 1979, they joined Foothills Pipelines (Yukon) Ltd and assumed responsibility for the environmental planning and NEB approval of the Dempster Lateral Pipeline from Watson Lake, B.C. to the Beaufort Sea. In 1983, they moved to Husky Energy as the supervisor responsible for environmental planning and operations. During their four years at Husky, they were the environmental project leader on a broad range of heavy oil projects in the Cold Lake/Lloydminster/Hardisty areas of Alberta and Saskatchewan. In 1989, they joined NOVA Chemicals and held a variety of management and leadership positions in environmental, health and safety in the styrenic and olefins business groups. In 2006, they assumed the role of Director Responsible Care providing leadership for the company's EHS functions. In 2014, they joined Pilko & Associates as an Executive Advisor, providing expert support to a broad range of resource development and manufacturing companies worldwide. Mark J specialized in EHS management systems and governance, as well as the conduct of transactions involving the hydrocarbon and chemical sectors. In 2017, they became the Chief Financial Officer of LaunchPass.
Mark J Lesky received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Geosciences from Columbia University between 1968 and 1972. In 1979, they obtained a M.E.Des. in Environmental Science from the University of Calgary. Mark J also holds a certification from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta.
