Wesley Thompson

Wesley Thompson is a Principal Investigator at the Laureate Institute for Brain Research starting in May 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as a Professor at the University of California San Diego, specializing in biostatistics and psychiatry. Wesley also served as the Owner and Chief Statistician at Wesley Thompson, Statistical Consulting, LLC, providing statistical consulting services for biomedical statistics. Wesley has held various roles at different institutions, including the University of California, San Diego - School of Medicine, the Research Institute of Biological Psychiatry, the University of Pittsburgh, Rutgers University, and the State University of New York at Albany. Wesley obtained a Ph.D. in Statistics from Rutgers University, an M.S. in Mathematics from the State University of New York at Albany, and a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Chicago.

Wesley Thompson obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics from the University of Chicago from 1987 to 1991. Wesley then pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Mathematics from the University at Albany, SUNY from 1994 to 1996. Lastly, they completed their education by obtaining a PhD degree in Statistics from Rutgers University from 1997 to 2003.
