Sarah Cotgreave FCIPS has over 29 years of professional experience in various roles and industries. Sarah currently serves as the Vice President Sales Asia and Pacific at LavenirAI since May 2023. In their previous role as a Director / Principal Consultant at Globaltraid Limited from November 2018, Sarah was a strategic advisor to multinationals, governments, multilaterals, and NGOs, focusing on improving successful delivery, governance, and sustainability. Prior to that, they worked as the Divisional Manager Commercial at the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade from April 2012 to December 2018, where they led procurement, sponsorship, and grant funding projects for international infrastructure and development activities.
Sarah also has experience working at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) as a Senior Procurement Specialist (Capacity Building) from April 2010 to March 2012, where they focused on increasing procurement, PPP, and project management capability of governments and contractors in Asia and the Pacific. In their role as the Managing Director / Managing Consultant at Novos Limited from August 2002 to March 2010, Sarah delivered various projects and training related to shared services, procurement, supply chain management, PPP, organizational design, eCommerce, and outsourcing.
Sarah has also held positions at the Office of Government Commerce as the Director of eCommerce and Shared Services, where they led the UK government modernization and digitalization program for central public procurement agency OGCbuying.solutions, and at Barclays as the Head of Demand Management for Barclays Private Clients and International, overseeing global cost and quality management.
Earlier in their career, Sarah worked at Williams Lea as the Director of Procurement, IT, and Facilities, overseeing global procurement activities, and at GE as the European Sourcing and Facilities Leader, responsible for procurement and facilities management. Sarah also served as the First Vice President at Citi-Salomon Smith Barney, where they negotiated global contracts for technology and led infrastructure reviews and outsourcing projects.
Throughout their career, Sarah has demonstrated expertise in strategic advisory, procurement, project management, shared services, Lean Six Sigma quality programs, negotiation, and international business.
Sarah Cotgreave FCIPS has a diverse education history. In 2007, they obtained the "Gateway Reviewer" certification from the Office of Government Commerce. Sarah later achieved the "4Ps PPP Advisor" certification from 4ps in 2007. In 2008, they obtained the highly recognized "FCIPS" certification from CIPS Australasia. Sarah became a "Professional member" of the Royal Society of New Zealand in 2015. Additionally, they achieved the "Member (MInstD)" status at the Institute of Directors in New Zealand in 2019. Sarah joined the International Society for Professional Innovation Management (ISPIM) as a member in December 2020. In July 2021, they became a member of World Commerce & Contracting.
Moving on to their academic qualifications, Sarah completed their Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Business Studies at Nottingham Trent University. Sarah then pursued an MBA in Financial Services, specializing in Banking, Finance, and Capital Markets at London Metropolitan University. Most recently, from 2017 to 2018, they studied at Victoria University of Wellington, where they obtained a Master of International Trade (MINTR) degree.
Sarah Cotgreave FCIPS's additional certifications include "MAPS Certification Exam," "MAPS Fundamentals," and "MAPS for Assessors" from the MAPS Secretariat, all achieved in 2023. Sarah also completed the "Leadership in Practice" program from the Leadership Development Centre, and is a Prince2 Practitioner certified by AXELOS Global Best Practice.
