Zipi Resheat Eini has had a successful career in the life sciences industry. In 2020, they began working as a Lab Manager at Lavie Bio, where they were responsible for managing the cryogenic bank, establishing protocols for experiments in the lab and greenhouse, and managing lab assignments, inventory, safety, and personnel. From 2017-2020, they worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Merck Life Science, where they were an expert in microbial fermentation development for small molecules production and isolation, as well as developing new products for microbiome research and establishing quality control parameter lists for new products. From 2008-2017, they worked at Sigma-Aldrich, where they were an Innovative Technologies Scout and Head of the ADME Tox Unit. Zipi was responsible for scouting innovative technologies, contacting technology transfer offices of universities in Israel and abroad, and heading the ADME Tox production unit that manufactures assay ready plates with live cells for pre-clinical studies of bioactive molecules. Zipi also held the role of Research and Development Scientist.
Zipi Resheat Eini completed their B.Sc in Biology, General from Bar-Ilan University between 1992 and 1994. Zipi then obtained their Master's Degree in Plant Pathology/Phytopathology from the same university between 1994 and 1997. Zipi then went on to get their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Biology and Mycology from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem between 1998 and 2004. Finally, they completed a Post Doc in Plant Pathology/Phytopathology from University of Basel between 2006 and 2007.
