Elaine Westphal is an experienced legal professional currently serving as an Assistant Public Defender at the Law Offices of the Public Defender for the 20th Judicial Circuit since January 2022. Prior experience includes a role as a JD Assistant to Public Defenders at Toledo Legal Aid Society, a Summer Law Clerk for the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, and a Judicial Extern at the Florida Fourth District Court of Appeal. Elaine also gained legal experience as a Student Legal Intern at the Innocence Clinic. Prior to entering the legal field, Elaine worked as an IT Recruiter at Insight Global, a Marketing/Sales Intern at OrderUp, and a Market Research Intern at DHR International. Elaine holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Miami School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from The Ohio State University.
