Nicholas Shepherd has a diverse and extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Nicholas is currently employed at LawnStarter as a Lead Software Engineer since June 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Lawn Love Lawn Care as a Senior Software Engineer from January 2022 to June 2023.
Before their time at Lawn Love, Nicholas was a Senior Software Engineer at Lawn Love Lawn Care from January 2021 to June 2023 and a Software Engineer from June 2019 to January 2021.
Nicholas also gained valuable experience working at Officialize as a Back End Developer from May 2018 to April 2019. There, they utilized PHP and JavaScript to add features to the web platform and developed the main platform's API to share data with multiple mobile apps, the website, and the internal portal.
Furthermore, Nicholas worked at DPS Telecom as a Software Programmer from January 2016 to February 2018. In this role, they maintained custom in-house web applications and built new web tools based on specifications provided by department managers. Nicholas also resolved bug reports, fulfilled feature requests, and addressed questions related to the applications and underlying data.
Nicholas's career started as a self-employed Mobile Developer in 2013. During this time, they independently designed, developed, and maintained mobile apps, achieving over 2,000,000 downloads. Nicholas also created an ID card generator that gained high rankings in Google Play's Top 500 Free Entertainment Apps in 6 countries for a few months. Their mobile development skills primarily involved utilizing Java and the Android SDK, as well as creating games on the LibGDX framework.
Nicholas Shepherd obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Southern New Hampshire University between 2012 and 2015.
