Kara Teeple

Kara Teeple is the current CEO of Lawrence Hall, a position they have held since 2013. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Operating Officer of Lawrence Hall from November 2013 to January 2015. From 2007 to 2012, Ms. Teeple was the Deputy Director of the Division of Placement and Permanency for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). Kara also served as the Foster Care Administrator for DCFS from 1999 to 2006. In their earlier career, Ms. Teeple was the Purchase of Service Norman Liaison for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services from 1996 to 1999.

Kara Teeple has a BA in Sociology from Loyola University Chicago and a MA in Sociology from Wittenberg University.
