Katie Whittam-Hayes

Katie Whittam-Hayes has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources. Katie started their career in 2010 as a Receptionist at Synetrix. Katie then moved on to Laleham Healthcare Ltd, where they worked as a Receptionist and Business Administrator. At Laleham Healthcare, they also took on the role of Human Resources Administrator, responsible for recruitment and selection coordination and administration.

In 2014, Katie joined John Wiley and Sons as a Human Resources Administrator. During their time there, they gained experience in HR administration.

In 2015, they transitioned to Lawton Communications Group, initially serving as an HR Assistant/Advisor before being promoted to HR Manager. In this role, Katie provided support to multiple agencies within the group, handling various HR matters such as recruitment, appraisals, employee relations, and learning and development. Katie also played a key role in projects including the development of a new company intranet and enhanced recruitment processes.

Currently, Katie holds the position of Group Human Resources Director at Lawton Communications Group, Five by Five Global, and Dragonfish UK. In this role, they provide strategic and tactical HR support to the agencies, overseeing recruitment, employee engagement initiatives, and career development.

Katie Whittam-Hayes obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Portsmouth in 2020. Prior to that, they pursued a CIPD Level 5: HR Management qualification at Guildford College from 2013 to 2014, and a CIPD Level 3: HR Practice certification at the same institution from 2012 to 2013.
