Qian Xie

Qian Xie started their work experience in 2010 as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Regina. They later became an Instructor at the same institution from May 2014 to August 2014.

In 2016, they joined TD as a Senior Big Data Analytics Developer from December 2016 to December 2017. They then worked as a Big Data Solution Designer from January 2018 to May 2019, followed by a role as a Tech Lead, Enterprise Analytics Use Cases from May 2019 to July 2019.

Since July 2019, Qian Xie has been working at Layer 6 AI. They initially joined as a Machine Learning Engineer from July 2019 to February 2021 and currently hold the role of Senior Machine Learning Engineer, starting in March 2021.

Qian Xie completed a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering at the University of Regina from 2009 to 2013. They also obtained a Master's Degree in Engineering from North China Electric Power University (Beijing) from 2006 to 2009 and a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from China University of Mining and Technology from 2002 to 2006. In terms of additional certifications, Qian Xie obtained several certifications in Big Data Analysis, Data Science, and Apache Spark from institutions such as edX, Coursera Course Certificates, and Cloudera. They also obtained the AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services.
