Robert Brooks

Robert Brooks has extensive work experience in the field of electrical engineering. Robert began their career as a Sr. Electrical Engineer at Medrad Inc in June 2005 and later advanced to become a Project Electrical Engineer. During their time at Medrad Inc, they developed electrical and electronic subsystems for medical devices and led new product development projects. Robert also provided support to Operations, Sales, and Service groups.

In 2010, Robert joined Eaton Electrical as a Lead Engineer, where they served for eight years. During this time, they assumed the role of Lead Engineer and was responsible for leading engineering projects.

In 2018, Robert joined L.B. Foster Company as the Lead Electronics Design Engineer. Currently, they hold this position, demonstrating their expertise and leadership in electronics design.

Additionally, Robert has been actively involved with IEEE since 2001. Robert served as the Co-Chair of the Pgh Chapter EMBS from November 2001 to 2012. In 2011, they also took on the responsibility of Chair for the IEEE Pittsburgh section, overseeing its operations, organizing meetings, and attending conferences and meetings.

Robert Brooks received their MSEE degree from the University of Pittsburgh between 2002 and 2007. Robert also obtained several certifications, including "The Systems Modeling Language (SysML)v1.6" from Udemy in 2023 and "Managing Innovation: Ambidexterity, Teams and Leading Change" from Coursera in 2022. Additionally, they received certifications in "Strategic Technology Management Specialization," "Customer Centric Innovation," "Technology Strategy - Creative Destruction," and "Introduction to Systems Engineering" from Coursera. In 2018, they completed the "Linux Administration Bootcamp" certification from Udemy.
