James Brese

James Brese has extensive experience in accounting and church leadership. Currently serving as Treasurer and Professional Coach for the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, Eastern District since August 1989, James oversees financial operations and has developed the Black Diamond Ministry Network, focusing on coaching church workers and consulting on vision and strategy for church revitalization. Prior to this role, James worked at KMPG (formerly Peat Marwick Mitchell) from 1965 to February 1968 as a senior accountant and then internal accountant, engaging in audits and tax department work. James holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Accounting from Valparaiso University, completed in 1965, and attended Buffalo State University in 2004.
