In 1976 to 1981, they attended Periti Aziendali in Corrispondenza in Lingue Estere Firenze Italia, where they obtained a diploma in international business studies with a focus on business and languages. In 1988, they earned a certification as a Travel Agent after completing a program on Tourism and Travel Services Management. Continuing their education, from 1990 to 1993 and again from 1994 to 1998, Ellie pursued their Associate's degrees at Santa Barbara City College. Their degrees were in Psychology and Sociology respectively.
