Michael Kester has a wealth of experience in the corporate world. Michael's career began in 1996 when they were a Financial Analyst at Lehman Brothers Merchant Banking Group. In 1999, they moved on to McKinsey & Company, where they worked as a Consultant. In 2006, they joined The Regis Company as Managing Director & Co-President, where they were responsible for the company's leadership development, assessments, and learning analytics practices. Michael also served as a program executive for commercial engagements related to mergers and acquisitions, global strategic change, and operations transformations. In 2005, they became a Principal and Board Member at Locomotive Service, Inc. Most recently, in 2020, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Lead Belay, a revolutionary approach to help new managers be great at their job. Michael provides an entirely remote, peer-based leadership development experience that is backed by science and completely affordable.
Michael Kester completed their JD at Harvard Law School from 1997 to 2000. Prior to that, they obtained their BA in Philosophy from the University of Colorado Boulder from 1991 to 1996.
