Ann Levine, MS, SPHR, SHRM - SCP has over 25 years of experience in Human Resources. Ann began their career in 1996 as the Human Resources Director for the College of Engineering, where they acted as an internal consultant for management and staff on internal policies and procedures, and introduced an internal promotional process providing advancement opportunities for exempt-level employees. In 2000, they became the Human Resources Director for Sterling-Rice Group, a national brand building firm providing solutions and marketing services. Ann then moved to Human Resources Consulting in 2002, where they provided small project consultative services to small business clients in the areas of employee relations, performance management, human resource audits, polices and procedures, and career development for employees. In 2003, they joined Employers Council as a Senior Consultant for the nonprofit membership organization offering employers HR support and services. In 2010, they became the Human Resources Director for Boulder Scientific Company, a Colorado manufacturer of specialty organometallic chemicals and compounds. Ann then moved to Tribune Media in 2014, where they served as the Regional Human Resources Manager for the broadcasting company providing both television and digital media services. In 2016, they became the Chief People Officer for Seattle Fish Company, where they developed and implemented human resource strategies, including hiring, benefits, employee relations, training, salary management, payroll, workers compensation, and employee separations. In 2020, Ann joined Aurora Mental Health Center as the Human Resources Director, where they oversaw Human Resources operations and was responsible for the functional areas of benefits, talent acquisition, employee experience and engagement, recognition, and performance management. Ann also joined Employers Council as a Human Resources Consultant, providing human resources consultative services to member organizations including on-site and remote support for HR operations, employee relations, staffing analysis, investigations, performance management, development of policies and procedures, handbook writing and review, corrective actions, unemployment, workers compensation, training, and HR audits. In 2021, Ann returned to Employers Council as a Human Resources Consultant.
Ann Levine, MS, SPHR, SHRM-SCP holds a BA from the University of Minnesota in Liberal Arts and a M.S.M. from Regis University in Organizational Development. Ann obtained their Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from HRCI in May 1998 and their SHRM-SCP from the Society for Human Resources Management in February 2015.
