Kathryn Rice has extensive experience in the education field, starting as a Teach For America Corps Member in 2002. Kathryn went on to work at East Feliciana Parish Schools as a Teacher and Instructional Coach. Kathryn then moved on to roles at Advance Baton Rouge Charter School Association as an Assistant Principal and Principal, and Ascension Parish Schools as an Assistant Principal. Kathryn also served as a Fellow at Building Excellent Schools. Kathryn was the Lead Founder and School Director at Baton Rouge College Preparatory Charter School before taking on the role of Associate Superintendent at Redesign Schools Louisiana. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Organizational Learning at LEAD Public Schools and will transition to the role of Principal in May 2022.
Kathryn Rice has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in French and Psychology from Concordia College. Kathryn also holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in School Leadership from Louisiana State University.
