TaKeysha Sheppard Jones has over 18 years of professional experience in marketing, business development, community relations, and public policy. TaKeysha began their career in 2001 as a Commissioner Aide at the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, where they reviewed, analyzed, evaluated and made recommendations to Commissioner about policies, programs, procedures and legislation affecting regulated industries. In 2003, they became the Executive Director of the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus and the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus Foundation, where they managed all organizational and fundraising activities and coordinated and promoted the collective political and public policy goals of OLBC's legislative members. In 2007, they founded and became the CEO of The Women's Book, where they were responsible for managing business development, community relations, marketing and editorial programs. That same year, they were hired as a Sustainability Coordinator and External Affairs Coordinator at American Electric Power, where they built, maintained and managed key external economic development, legislative, governmental and community stakeholder relationships. From 2014-2015, they worked as the Vice President of Business Development at Smart Business Network, and from 2015-2019, they were the Director of Community and Member Engagement at Molina Healthcare of Ohio, Inc. Most recently, they were hired in 2023 as the Chief Marketing Officer at Leaderpromos Marketing Agency.
TaKeysha Sheppard Jones attended The Ohio State University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts - BA. TaKeysha then attended Ashland University, where they earned a Master of Business Administration - MBA between 2015 and 2018.
