Cynthia Knapek

Cynthia Knapek serves as the Chief Executive Officer at LeadingBetter since August 2022 and has been President of the Leadership Louisville Center since November 2010, where prior to that role, Cynthia was Vice President. Cynthia was an Official Member of the Louisville Business First Leadership Trust from November 2019 to November 2021. Previous roles include Executive Director of Louisville Metro Government and Brightside, Inc., from April 2003 to November 2010, and involvement as a founding member of the Young Professionals Association of Louisville from 1999 to 2005. Additionally, Cynthia worked as the Director of Education at Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates from June 1999 to March 2003, where efforts focused on statewide public relations to promote organ and tissue donation awareness. Cynthia's career began at Fifth Third Bank, working as a Retail Executive from July 1995 to June 1999. Cynthia earned both a BA and MA in Organizational Communication from the University of Louisville between 1990 and 1995.
