Marishka Winters has worked in various roles and organizations throughout their career. Marishka started their most recent position in 2021 as the Deputy Chief of Networks at Leading Educators. Prior to that, they served as the Managing Director, Networks at the same company from 2021 to 2022. From 2017 to 2021, Marishka held two roles at New Teacher Center: Senior Director, Program and Senior Director of School Leadership. Marishka also worked as a Project Director at TNTP from 2014 to 2017, and as the Director of Teacher Development at Partnership for Los Angeles Schools from 2012 to 2014. Marishka'scareer began as an Assistant Principal of Instruction at PUC Schools from 2011 to 2012.
Marishka Winters began their education journey at Scripps College, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History from 1997 to 2001. After completing their undergraduate studies, they took a break from formal education.
In 2005, Marishka decided to further their academic pursuits and enrolled at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Marishka spent the academic year 2005 to 2006 at Harvard, focusing on Education Policy and Management. Graduating with a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree, Marishka gained comprehensive knowledge in this field.
Moving forward, in 2009, Marishka Winters returned to school, this time attending UCLA. Marishka participated in the Principal Leadership Institute and completed their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in 2010. During their time at UCLA, Marishka specialized in Principal Leadership, acquiring valuable skills and expertise in this area.
