Ram Marappan

Ram Marappan has extensive work experience spanning over several years. Their most recent role was as a Sr. Director of Technology at Leaf Home starting in 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Technology Officer at Prisidio from 2021 to 2023. In this role, Ram was responsible for assembling a highly skilled team of engineers and overseeing the architecture, execution, and delivery of the Prisidio cloud-native SAAS platform.

Before joining Prisidio, Ram held various roles at HERE Technologies, including Head of Engineering for Automotive Applications from 2019 to 2021, Director of Engineering for Connected Vehicle Services from 2018 to 2019, and Senior Manager of Engineering for Connected Vehicle Services from 2017 to 2018. At HERE Technologies, Ram's teams focused on innovative projects involving big data, machine learning, and analytics.

Prior to their time at HERE Technologies, Ram served as the Director of Technology and Principal Architect at Redbox Instant by Verizon from 2011 to 2014. Ram also held positions at Redbox and Keane, where they showcased their expertise in design, architecture, strategy, and leadership.

Ram began their career at Allstate Insurance Company as a Senior Architect and IT Consultant, specializing in software design, B2B and B2C applications, team management, and development. Ram also worked as a Senior Developer at Wheels and as a Consultant at SPS Payment Systems early in their career.

Throughout their diverse work experience, Ram has demonstrated a strong track record of building high-performing teams, driving efficient software development processes, and implementing cutting-edge technologies.

Ram Marappan has a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University, earned from 1992 to 1994. Ram attended Bharathiar University from 1987 to 1991, although the degree and field of study are unspecified. Additionally, Ram has obtained several certifications, including "Machine Learning Foundations: A Case Study Approach" from Coursera Course Certificates, "Hadoop Platform and Application Framework" from Coursera Course Certificates, "Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 7 Programmer" from Oracle, and "AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner" from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2020.
