Steve Arnold

Steve Arnold is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public service and environmental advocacy. Currently serving as Chair of the Transportation and Transit Commission for the City of Fitchburg and as a League Cycling Instructor for the League of American Bicyclists, Steve also holds the position of Treasurer for Bike Fitchburg, Inc., and Secretary for the Wisconsin Bike Fed. Additionally, Steve is a Director at ALL ABOARD WISCONSIN and the Congress of the New Urbanism Wisconsin Chapter. Previous roles include Mayor of Fitchburg and a long tenure as a member of the Common Council, where leadership was demonstrated in multiple committees focused on public safety, transportation, and land use. Steve's educational background includes a Ph.D. in evolutionary ecology from Cornell University and advanced degrees in environmental engineering and natural science from The Johns Hopkins University.
