Marie Chowdhry has a wealth of experience in the legal sector. Marie began their legal career in 2011 as a Trainee Solicitor and Associate at Addleshaw Goddard, where they focused on consumer finance regulation. In 2014, they took a secondment from Addleshaw Goddard to Barclays as Legal Counsel. In 2015, they joined Financial Services Legal at EY, where they gained experience analysing and interpreting EU and UK regulatory requirements. In 2017, they took a secondment from EY to Lloyds Banking Group as PSD2 and Open Banking Risk and Compliance for Digital. In 2018, they joined Pinsent Masons as a Senior Associate in the Financial Regulatory practice in the Middle East. In 2021, they joined Amnesty International as Legal Counsel (maternity cover) and Lean Technologies as General Counsel, where they report directly to the CEO and management.
Marie Chowdhry completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in International Relations and Affairs from the University of Leeds between 2003 and 2006. Marie then attended BPP Law School between 2008 and 2010, where they earned a GDL. In 2018, Marie completed the Oxford Fintech Programme from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, with a focus on Finance and Financial Management Services.
