Albert Makela

Albert Makela is an Energy Efficiency Expert at Danfoss Leanheat Building since January 2021, specializing in global customer engagements. Prior experience includes roles as Project Engineer at Leppäkoski, focusing on energy solutions and master's thesis work on energy-efficiency improvements utilizing IoT. Albert also completed an engineering internship at BLEY Energias, working on biomethane microstation and biorefinery projects. Previous roles at Leppäkosken Sähkö involved solar energy initiatives and pilots for renewable technology integration. Albert served as a Special Advisor for Clay Meadow Consulting, conducting fact-finding missions and technical reporting in Southern Africa. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Circular Economy from LUT University and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering Technology from Lahti University of Applied Sciences, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic of Namibia.
