Emily Savage has a diverse work experience across multiple industries. Emily started their career as the Founder and Director of a not-for-profit clothing company called HoodAid, where they donated all profits to support project work in Sierra Leone.
Emily then moved into the technology field, working as a Project Director at FC Business Intelligence, where they focused on emerging mobile markets and curated and directed the prestigious Open Mobile Summit San Francisco. Emily also served as the Head of Strategy and Mobile Analyst for the Open Mobile Media Portfolio.
Emily continued their work in the technology sector at Digital Catapult, where they held the role of Commercial Product Lead for the Immersive technology segment. At Digital Catapult, Emily was responsible for driving the early adoption of digital technologies and enabling new opportunities in business models, content, and technical services.
Emily's passion for immersive technology led their to Jaunt VR, where they served as a Content Partnerships Manager. There, they developed partnerships with organizations in Europe involved in content production, focusing on creating and distributing immersive content.
Emily also had a role at Ultraleap as the EMEA Sales & Business Development Manager before transitioning to their current position as the Director of Business Development, EMEA. Ultraleap is a leading company in hand tracking and mid-air haptic technologies, empowering natural and touch-free digital interaction.
Additionally, Emily served as an Advisory Board Member at the University of the West of England, supporting their MA Virtual Reality program.
Throughout their career, Emily has demonstrated expertise in business development, sales, product management, and partnership development, with a particular focus on immersive technologies and digital innovation.
Emily Savage attended Saffron Walden County High School from 1998 to 2005, where they obtained their GCSE and A-level qualifications in Maths, Biology, and Geology. Emily then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology at the University of Southampton from 2006 to 2010. Additionally, in 2009 to 2010, they completed an MSci degree in Marine Biology from an unspecified university.
