Kate Ericson

Katherine Ericson is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Executive Director of LEARN since December 2018 and previously as the Deputy Executive Director. At LEARN Regional Educational Service Center, Katherine has held the role of Associate Director of Magnet Schools, overseeing seven magnet schools and focusing on equity, diversity, and student engagement. Prior to this, Katherine was the Chief Academic Officer and Director of Educator Professional Development at New London Public Schools, where responsibilities included implementing the Common Core curriculum and developing a Strategic Operating Plan. With a strong background in curriculum development and instructional support, Katherine has also served as Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction and Social Studies Department Chair. Katherine's teaching experience began at Griswold High School, where engagement in coaching and curriculum initiatives contributed to a robust teaching career. Katherine holds multiple degrees and certifications, including a Superintendent Certification from the University of Connecticut and a Master's in Special Education from Southern Connecticut State University.
