Julie Serven

Julie Serven is a seasoned publications manager currently at the Learning Policy Institute, where responsibilities include providing support to research and policy staff, managing editing and production schedules, and overseeing external vendors. Prior experience as a content manager and editor at Public Strategies involved editing diverse deliverables for federal and state contracts and leading Federal Plain Language training. As co-owner and editorial adviser for Storied Publishing and Storied Communications, Julie contributed to the publication of over 30 nonfiction books and supported debut authors. An executive director at the Oklahoma City Metro Literacy Coalition, Julie focused on improving literacy outcomes and engaging with key stakeholders. Julie's academic background includes a Master’s Degree in Education with a focus on Literacy, a Graduate Certificate in Theological Studies, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism.
