Yousef Hazimee

Yousef Hazimee has an extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Yousef currently serves as the Head of Security at LearnUpon since August 2020. Prior to this, they worked at AIB where they held various roles. From February 2019 to August 2020, they were the Cyber Security Practice Manager, responsible for managing the delivery of security awareness programs and overseeing objective-based testing. From January 2016 to February 2019, they served as the Cyber Security Programme Manager, overseeing the implementation of AIB's Cyber Security Strategy.

Before joining AIB, Hazimee worked at EY as a Manager. In this role, they led the design and implementation of a privileged user management program for a financial services client and managed global penetration testing engagements. Yousef also worked as an Information Security Consultant, where they performed web application penetration testing and vulnerability assessments for clients in the financial services sector.

Beginning their career at Symantec, Hazimee served as a Security Response Engineer. During their tenure, they wrote generic signatures to detect malware, conducted in-depth analysis of malware, and detected vulnerabilities in various products.

Prior to Symantec, they worked at AIB as an IT Security Specialist, assessing the security of IT-related projects and performing security reviews of devices within the bank.

Overall, Yousef Hazimee has a strong background in cybersecurity, with expertise in security management, program delivery, penetration testing, and malware analysis.

Yousef Hazimee has a diverse education history. Yousef obtained a Global MBA degree in Business Administration and Management, General from IE Business School, where they studied from 2018 to 2019. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Computer Security and Forensics at Dublin City University from 2006 to 2007. Yousef also holds a degree in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin, which they completed from 2000 to 2004. Additionally, Yousef has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional credentials. These include PRINCE2 Registered Practitioner from PEOPLECERT in December 2016, SABSA Foundation SCF from The SABSA Institute in November 2016, CISA from ISACA in January 2010, CISSP from (ISC)² in December 2008, and SSCP from (ISC)² in September 2005.
