Laura E. Amann has over 30 years of experience in program and project management. Laura E. started their career at Accenture as a Consultant, where they worked from 1986 to 1991. Laura E. then moved on to Information Builders and Information Management Consultants, where they worked as a Consultant from 1991 to 1995.
In 1995, Laura joined Verizon as an IT Manager, where they managed cross-project IT release deliveries for various business subsidiaries. Laura E. also developed an inventory of web-based systems to facilitate system asset sharing across different organizations. Laura E. continued working at Verizon until 1999, during which they served as a Sales and Care Systems Manager, managing sales and care systems for the launch of Bell Atlantic's Long Distance business subsidiary.
After leaving Verizon, Laura worked at XO Communications from 2000 to 2013. Here, they held various roles, including Corporate Program/Project Manager, SOX Program Manager, and Sales Operations Senior Manager. As the Corporate Program/Project Manager, they established a program management office within XO's Finance organization and provided program and project management services to Corporate, Finance, and Marketing departments. As the SOX Program Manager, they were responsible for the successful delivery of SOX compliance programs. And as the Sales Operations Senior Manager, they oversaw the implementation and upgrades of Siebel CRM software within the Sales and Marketing organizations.
From 2014 to 2015, Laura worked at NRECA as a Program/Project Manager, where they combined technology and business process improvements to enhance the efficiency of NRECA's Group Health administration business. Laura E. utilized a combination of Waterfall and Agile methodologies and managed deliverable execution.
In 2015, Laura joined XO Communications as a Senior Project Manager, where they managed the initiation, planning, design, development, testing, training, and support of several high-priority projects supporting strategic programs. Laura E. directed scope, schedule, and spending to ensure projects were delivered within budget.
In 2016, Laura worked at Celerity as a Program/Project Manager. Here, they managed programs and projects and ensured their successful completion.
Currently, Laura is working at LeaseAccelerator as a Program/Project Manager - Customer Implementation. Laura E. manages multiple customer implementations of the LeaseAccelerator SaaS enterprise lease accounting software for global Fortune 500 customers. Laura E. develops statements of work, manages customer delivery expectations, and leads a team of subject matter expert consultants to conduct discovery assessments, design and configure customer environments, develop ERP system integrations, support testing and training, and transition to customer support.
Laura E. Amann, PMP, PMI-ACP, CSPO, obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce with a focus on Marketing and Management Information Systems from the University of Virginia. In addition to their degree, they have also earned several certifications to further enhance their expertise in various areas. These certifications include Change Management (Organizational) from ASTD in November 2013, a Graduate Certificate in Transformative Leadership and Social Change from Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly Tai Sophia Institute) in September 2011, the Leadership Challenge Development Program from The Wharton School in February 1998, Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in June 2009, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® certification from the Project Management Institute in December 2014, and the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from the Scrum Alliance in October 2014.
