Maryam Anwer

Maryam Anwer has extensive experience in the medical field, currently serving as a Medical Editor at Lecturio Medical since September 2019. Prior to this role, Maryam completed an internship at King Hamad University Hospital (KHUH) from July 2013 to June 2014, gaining training across several specialties including Emergency, Surgery, OBGYN, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Hyperbaric Medicine, Paediatrics, and Anesthesia. Concurrently, a position as a Research Assistant at KHUH involved conducting a systematic review on the risk factors and diagnostic criteria for colorectal anastomotic leaks. Additionally, Maryam contributed to the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland as a Peer Assisted Tutor and as a Class Representative during the academic years from 2011 to 2013. Maryam holds an MB Bch BAO in Medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, obtained between 2008 and 2013, and completed A levels at Al Noor International School from 2004 to 2008.
