Billy S. Garland has extensive work experience in various roles and industries.

Starting in 2007, they worked as a Sales Lead Manager at EXPRESS, overseeing a large staff and managing sales and visual merchandising.

From 2008 to 2010, they served as the Managing Editor for the Louisville Cardinal Weekly News Paper, where they coordinated assignments, handled payroll, and oversaw recruitment and hiring.

In 2009, Billy worked as a Corporate Trainer at Red Lobster, training new hires and also performing as a lead server.

From 2010 to 2011, they gained leadership and editorial skills as the Editor-in-Chief of Red Magazine, managing a team of 24 students.

Starting in 2011, Billy joined Buca di Beppo as a Sales Manager, where they directed sales and marketing efforts, managed large group events, and worked on improving store operations.

From 2013 to 2015, they served as the Sales and Marketing Manager at Hard Rock International, overseeing event planning and customization for their venues worldwide.

In 2015, Billy became the Promotions Director for multiple radio stations at Alpha Media USA, where they directed promotions and marketing efforts while also serving as on-air talent.

From 2017 to 2021, they worked for Virginia Media as a Solution Architect, focusing on creating marketing solutions for clients and collaborating with product specialists.

Currently, Billy is the Regional Marketing Director for Lee Enterprises, tasked with overseeing marketing efforts in the Southeast region.

Billy S. Garland obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Communication from the University of Louisville, where they studied from 2006 to 2011. Prior to that, they received a high school diploma from Berea Community High School between 2002 and 2006. Additionally, Billy has obtained certifications from Google, including the Google Ads Fundamentals Certification and the Google Analytics Individual Qualification. Billy S. has also completed the Activate Consumer-Centric Marketing course offered by Google.
