Tess de Kleijn is a master's student in Molecular and Cellular Life Sciences at Utrecht University, continuing to build a strong academic foundation after earning a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biology and Medical Laboratory Research from HAN University of Applied Sciences. Currently serving as a shop assistant at Leen Bakker, Tess has gained practical experience through various internships, including a major internship at the Hubrecht Institute focused on cell cycle research, and roles at Charles River Laboratories developing drug discovery assays and at Micreos working on formulation development for food safety products. Additionally, Tess gained insights into the pharmaceutical industry through participation in the Radboud Summer School, where knowledge was acquired about drug discovery processes and medicinal chemistry while also working in customer service roles at Smits Groente en Fruit.
