John Sugrue

Assistant Director Facilities Management Unit/portfolio & Project Management at Legal Aid Board

John Sugrue has extensive experience in legal and government services, currently serving as the Assistant Director of the Facilities Management Unit as well as Portfolio & Project Management at the Legal Aid Board since July 2001. Previously, John held the position of Assistant Director for Decision Making Legal Services at the Scottish Legal Aid Board in late 2018, and worked as a government official in various capacities for the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine and the Department of Health - Ireland during the 1990s. John holds multiple educational qualifications, including a Diploma in Human Resource Practice from the Institute of Public Administration and Chartered Institute of Professional Development, a Critical Incident Response/Special Police Operations Certificate from South East Technological University, and several degrees in Legal Studies and Accountancy from Griffith College Dublin and Munster Technological University. Recently, John completed a Certificate in Mental Health First Aid in August 2023.
