James Greene

James Greene is a seasoned attorney with a diverse legal background, currently serving as a Staff Attorney at Legal Aid of East Tennessee since August 2023. Previously, James practiced at Davis & Greene P.C. from July 2011 to August 2023, focusing on consumer law, including bankruptcy, family, criminal, and personal injury matters. Prior experience includes an Assistant Public Defender role at the Shelby County office from October 2006 to May 2011. James earned a law degree specializing in criminal and tax law from The University of Memphis—Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law between 2003 and 2006, and holds a Bachelor's degree in History and Film from Duke University, completed in 1998.
