Emily White has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Emma started their career as a Law Student at Jordan Battista LLP in 2011 and gained further experience as a Student Caseworker at Downtown Legal Services from 2009 to 2012. Emma then served as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in 2012 and 2013.
In 2014, Emily worked as an Associate Lawyer at Smockum Zarnett LLP before transitioning to the role of Legal Researcher/Writer at Jordan Battista LLP. Emma also gained experience as a Document Reviewer at Epiq Systems in 2015.
In 2016, Emily joined UNHCR as an Eligibility Associate and later became a Legal Fellow. Emma worked in these roles until 2017. Currently, they are employed as a Research Lawyer in the Civil Section of Legal Aid Ontario.
Emma White attended the University of Toronto from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, History, and European Studies. In 2011, they participated in an exchange program at Central European University. Emma then returned to the University of Toronto from 2009 to 2012, completing their education by earning a Doctor of Law (JD) degree.
